Sword Knot: 18/19th Century, British
In the last quarter of the 18th Century more ornate sword knots for officer’s use made their appearance. These items were made of woven gold and/or silver wire rather than the traditional leather. Although a number of variants existed, the style we produce was one of the most popular. It has a tassel of crimson twisted fringe surrounded by a layer of 1/4″ or 3/8″ dia. gold bullion fringe secured in a tube-type crown in gold wire and crimson silk. The wrist loop was made of 5/8″ wide flat gold wire braid with 3 parallel lines of crimson silk.
We also carry an American Officer’s style in silver bullion with blue silk threading.

Warrant Officer’s Sash: Current
Current Warrant Officer’s Sash worn by WOs, MWOs and CWOs in the armed forces of Canada, the UK and other Commonwealth countries.
Traditionally made of a mixure of silk and wool (because the warrant officer was between the officer, who wore a silk sash and the sergeant, who wore a woolen sash). Now spec’d to be made of polished cotton, we’ve continued to maintain some of the original fibres. In the correct “faded” crimson colour. Sizes Small, Medium, Large and Extra-Large. Additional sizes by special order.
